Kathy Knowles Gonzalez, 47, of Brownsville, Texas, gained her angel wings in the early morning of March 11, 2023 with her family beside her. She was born April 10, 1975 to Irma Knowles. Kathy, the strongest, most selfless, and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and daughter. She is survived by her husband, Miguel; mother, Irma; daughters, Brittany and Destiny; sons, Jesus and Michael; grandchildren, Jerimiah, Aaliyah, and Mia; and her loyal furry companion that never left her side, Papi.
Kathy was a beloved daughter, niece, and granddaughter. She was a single child who was spoiled rotten with everyone in her family. She appreciated everything her mother would do for her. She loved her big breakfast and dinner meals that her grandmother would make her. She also worked hard for her A’s and B’s so her uncle could give her the big bucks for each of her report cards. She became a wife and mother in the early 90’s and 2000’s. She was a dedicated mother who went over and beyond; and loved all of her children tremendously. Nothing else in this world mattered more to her than her children and her grandchildren.
A bright soul who craved new spontaneous adventures. She loved seeing new movies that came out in the cinema, new restaurants she would come across, fun places to take so many pictures with her family. A beautiful soul that random people would spark up conversations with her, where all types of animals would crawl up to her like they already knew how generous she is, and where all children knew they were safe with her. A truthful friend that people always kept her around for some good advice. She was a safe haven for everyone, including her children, if they ever needed help. Kathy was truly a great woman whose impact will be forever felt by her family and to those who loved her dearly.
A visitation for Kathy will be held Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel, 901 Main, Pasadena, TX 77506.
