Louis was born March 15, 1957 in Charleston, West Virginia to the late Daisy and Louis “Gus”Titcher. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Barbara Jean Titcher of Shoreacres, step-son Darren Davis of Houston, Texas, step-daughter Denise Tait and Bob Williams of The Woodlands, Texas, two grandchildren Zoe Tait and Connor Tait of The Woodlands, Texas, one sister Linda Saulton (Sherman) of Cross Lanes, West Virginia, one brother Les Titcher (Sharon) of Julian, North Carolina, niece Lauren Titcher and nephew Lucas Titcher of Julian, North Carolina, brother-in-law Rick Ultsch (Renda, and family) of Tomball, Texas, and two very special family members 96 year old mother-in-law Dortha Allred of Altus, Arkansas, and 93 year old Uncle Bobby Blanscet of Altus, Arkansas.
Louis left his West Virginia family home after completing high school and spent 39 years traveling across the country and internationally for an equipment company. From field projects to project support, warehouse and procurement, he was a very dedicated employee. He and Barbara met on one of those projects in Baytown, Texas. She was the client secretary and he was the equipment manager. They married shortly afterwards. Louis and Barbara especially enjoyed the projects Louis was assigned to in Manila, the Philippines and El Segundo, California. Louis finally accepted a desk job at the Houston office so he could be home every night with Barb.
All who knew Louis knew they could count on him. He was a very jolly soul who always made you laugh. I could never be angry when I was with him. His work buddies called him “T-bone” as he was known for his love of steaks.
The family would like to sincerely thank Dr. Sunil Patel, Hematology/Oncology, Kelsey Seybold Main Campus and Dr Victor Simms, Internal Medicine, Kelsey Seybold Pasadena Clinic for their support and care of Louis during his treatment of lung cancer. They are exceptional in a league of their own.
Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Pasadena Funeral Home, Pasadena, Texas. Close friends will be invited to a celebration of life at Louis’s home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kelsey Research Foundation or The American Lung Association.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.pasadenafuneralchapel.com for the Titcher family.
