Maria was born in Matamoros Tamaulipas, Mexico, on December 12, 1971, one of ten children born to Francisco Rocha and Mercedes Romero. She is preceded in death by an infant daughter Maria Guadalupe Rocha. Other family preceding her in death are her parents Francisco and Mercedes; sisters, Nicolasa Rocha, Benita Garcia, Dora Oceguera and Francisca Rocha and her brothers, Manuel Rocha, Alfonso Rocha and Salvador Rocha.
Maria is survived by two sisters, Monica Flores and husband Victoriano and Maria Teresa Contreras and husband Ruben. Also left to cherish her memory are several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, dear friends and other relatives.
