Mariano "Cowboy" M. Sanchez

Mariano M. Sanchez 1936-2015 age 79, passed away Monday April 27, 2015 at home surrounded by his family. Born April 9, 1936 in Thrall Texas, to parents Juan Sanchez and Mary Medellin Sanchez. He moved to Pasadena in his early thirties with wife Dominga. He worked for the City of Pasadena in the sanitation department and retired after 33 years of service. He was a husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was a strong, caring man always willing to help those that needed his help. He enjoyed the outdoors, riding horses and deer hunting. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Dominga Sanchez, sisters Nellie Sertucha, Trinidad Sanchez Rook, Catalina Sanchez, brothers Juan Sertucha and Frank Sertucha.

He is survived by his companion Elaine Miller, children Lori Juarez and husband Juan, Mary Lou Sanchez, Betty Cuccerre and fiancé Ralph Rivera, Marian Calk Sanchez Garza and husband Josie, Valerie Sanchez and partner Rachel Rubio and his son Mariano Sanchez Jr. and partner Kris Durrett. Five grandchildren Juan (John John) Juarez, Yolanda Juarez, Jessica Thompson and husband Kevin, Nicole and Bianca Cuccerre, his great grand daughters Jayden and Kadence Thompson. His sisters Nico Martinez, Helen Olivarez, brothers Rey Sanchez, Eufemio Sanchez and numerous nieces and nephews.
