Marie Harrell

She was born on June 24, 1936 to Erving Curtis Gipson and Vertis Lola Sumter, in Port Arthur Texas, the oldest of 7 children.

She was a beloved wife until her husband, James Harrell’s death in March of 2020. She was a beloved mother, a dedicated grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother.

Marie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and 4 of her siblings. She is survived by her 4 children; Patricia, Nancy, Yandell (Bubba), and Frances, her 9 grand children; Kate, Dana, Tracy, William, April, Max, Chris, Marshall, and Sarah, 20 great grand children, and 2 great great grand children.

She loved her family, friends, church, sewing, and reading. She was very active in her church.

Marie was a loving, compassionate woman worth her weight in gold. She was well loved, and she loved the same.
