In 1982 she was baptized in Jesus name and later was filled with the Holy Ghost. She became a dedicated member to her church and a contributor to the work of the Lord.
Her church family was very dear to her. She served as the church secretary and Sunday school teacher for many years. She enjoyed worship service and on several occasions would sing “a song for the Lord.” After completing 25 years with Harris County Hospital District in 2005, she retired and dedicated much of her time to her grandchildren, husband, church, and gardening. Many of her grandkids have fond memories of going to “Grandma’s House”. Not giving in to her physical limitations she enjoyed road trips, long car rides, and traveling. Every year she was eager to plan the next family vacation which included Conroe, Galveston, Grand Canyon, Florida, Utah and many more. Every year a Christmas party would be held at her house in hopes of having all the family together. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, even those who knew her for a moment. Her memory will be cherished and she will always be in our heart. Her prayers for the family’s salvation will never fade.
