Ms. Mary Ethel Webber passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 14th, 2025, at the age of 97 years from heart failure, surrounded by family. Up until the end, Ethel, as she went by, maintained her love for God and her family. We were blessed and grateful for her long life, full of wonderful experiences.
Ethel was born in Galveston, Texas, on January 9th, 1928, and was one of five children. Her zest for adventure and enjoying the beach was an everyday enjoyment. Her sister Della and she were the best of friends, living life to the fullest. Ethel graduated from Ball High School and began her grand adventure of life.
She met Linder Howard Webber in Galveston, and at the young age of 20, they married on January 4th, 1948. Ethel’s life can be encapsulated by her love of family. She leaves behind sons, Ronald Howard, Jimmy Wayne, and David Lynn, along with their spouses, 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren, with an added bonus of numerous step-great-grandchildren. She will be joined in heaven by her husband of 60 years, 4 months, and 11 days, Linder Howard Webber, her son Donald Edward Webber, and daughter-in-law Jean Ann Webber, as well as her and Linder’s brothers, sisters, and parents.
Arrangements have been made at Pasadena Funeral Chapel for Monday, September 22nd. Visitation is set for 10:00 am with the service to follow at 11:00 am. Ethel will be laid to rest at 1:00 pm at the San Jacinto Memorial Park Cemetery next to her beloved husband, Linder Howard, and mother, Lue Ellen Brisco.
