Michael David Brandt On Saturday, December 20, 2014, Michael David Brandt was called home to be with the Lord. He passed away in his home at the age of 57. Michael was born September 16, 1957 to Anthony and Esther Brandt in Pasadena, TX and he was the second of four children. Michael lived in Pasadena his entire life and he attended Pasadena High School. At 22 he met and married his wife, Judy, after a chance introduction at a chiropractic clinic by her son, Robbie. Michael, Judy, and Robbie later welcomed Kristi and Amber to their family and Michael loved all of his children dearly. Michael and Judy recently celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary together. Michael primarily worked in construction during his life, and was a gifted carpenter who could fix just about anything. Michael loved sports, fishing, Christmas lights and classic rock-and-roll. He was a good friend to many, a beloved coach, a talented artist, a master on the grill and in the kitchen, and one of the wittiest people around. Michael was always ready for fun – he loved taking his family to sporting events, concerts, parades, and any other event that meant spending time together and enjoying life. He truly loved doing anything with his family; he also enjoyed playing Fantasy Football, he was affectionately known as “Uncle Monkey” by his nieces and nephews, and he will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. Michael is survived by his loving wife, Judy Brandt; his son Robert Williams, his wife Kristalyn Williams and their two children, Paisley and Jaxon Williams – all of LaPorte; his daughter, Kristi Mercer, her husband Andy, and their daughter Megan – all of Baytown; daughter Amber Brandt of Pasadena; and granddaughters McKenzie and McKenna Williams of San Antonio, TX. Michael is also survived by his mother, Esther Brandt of Pasadena, TX, brother Anthony Brandt of the Woodlands, TX, sister Donna Billmire and her husband Tad of Decatur, TX, and sister-in-law, Fran Brandt of Spring, TX in addition to many cousins, nieces, and nephews that he loved dearly. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Anthony, and younger brother, Edwin.
