Norberto Garza Escamilla

Norberto Garza Escamilla, aged 78, of Pasadena, Texas, passed away on March 1, 2024. He was born in Sabinas Hidalgo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, on June 6, 1945, to Juan Trevino Escamilla and Julia Garza Escamilla. Norberto was married to Marylou Driver for over 30 years.

Norberto dedicated many years of his life to serving his community, working for the City of Pasadena, Texas, for 24 years, and Sears Roebuck for 32 years. He was a hardworking and dedicated individual who left an indelible mark on those around him.

Norberto had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and spending time with his beloved dog "Trump." Raised in Roma, Texas, he carried with him a love for nature and the simple pleasures of life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Julia Garza Escamilla and Juan Trevino Escamilla, his brothers Filomeno Escamilla and Orfelio Escamilla, and his sister Petra Lugo.

Norberto is survived by his devoted wife, Marylou Driver, his son Norberto Escamilla (Thelma), daughters Susana Gates (Bruce), Lucy Rodriguez (Chris), Sally Escamilla (Brian), his son Micajah "Bubba" Driver (Sharon), daughters Jonice Puckett, and Christine Jabot. He is also survived by his sisters Irma Beltran, Rosa Gonzales, Yolanda Olivo, Teresa Solis, along with 19 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

His warm smile, gentle spirit, and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

May Norberto Garza Escamilla rest in eternal peace, knowing his legacy of love and dedication will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 7, 2024 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas 77505.
