Relies J Warren

Relies J Warren “RJ” was born on March 15, 1937 in Galena Park, Texas and passed away on November 22, 2022 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his brothers Jimmy Warren and Ron Spates, sister Shirley Toman, oldest daughter, Sherry Warren-Smith and nephew Robert Schultz. He is survived by his wife, Geri Warren, brother Gene Warren, daughters Tracy Ryan, Lisa McCaskill, and son Marc Warren, grandchildren Eric Knouse, Jackie Rhyne, Candice Wright, Jennifer Barton, Clayton Wright III, Jamie Chavez, Kurt McCaskill, Anthony Warren, Samantha Warren, Timothy Warren, 7 Great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

R. J. enlisted in the U.S. Marines in 1955, rose to the rank of Sergeant, and was released in 1959. He attended San Jacinto College and began his career as a mechanical drafter for Tex-a-mation, Inc where he worked for 30 years and ended his time there as an automation designer. He then worked as a design engineer for Exxon-Mobile, Conoco-Phillips, and TXE Engineering prior to his retirement.

His off time was spent fishing at the coast, working cattle roundups, hunting on the farm, playing dominoes, bar-b-queuing or just spending time with his extended family on any occasion. He was always surrounded by his family in whatever he did in life, as he was when he passed.

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his name to Peace Lutheran Church.
