Roy James “RJ” Dobson, born on September 23, 1925, in Nevada, Missouri, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2024, at the age of 99. He was the son of Claude and Delores Dobson and grew up in Kansas, where he graduated from Parsons High School.
RJ proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1943 to 1949. After his service, he married the love of his life, Dorothy Jean Hanley, on August 19, 1949. A man of unwavering faith, RJ served as a deacon in two churches: First Assembly and Christian Temple. He was also an integral member of the building team at Central Assembly of God in Pasadena. His positivity and resilience were evident throughout his life, including during his victorious battle with cancer in 1989.
