Teresa was born in Houston, Texas, on August 8, 1964, to Dalton Abshire and Polly Abshire. She dedicated many years to working in Loss Prevention for Macy’s before retiring to care for her parents.
She loved spending time with her family and friends—babysitting children over the years, attending concerts with her cousins, taking road trips with friends, and doting on her beloved dog, Bella. To know Teresa was to know Jesus, kindness, and love.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dalton and Polly Abshire.
She is survived by her brother, Cecil Abshire, and his wife, Stephanie, of La Porte, Texas; her niece, Arden; nephews, Jason and Colton; and her goddaughter, Amie Daigle. She also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, cousins, and an abundance of friends.
Teresa was a member of Creekmont Baptist Church and Life Bridge Church.
A memorial service will be held at Creekmont Baptist Church in La Porte, Texas, on Saturday, October 11, at 2:00 p.m., with Bro. Danny Mendoza officiating.
