Thelma Kay Collier was born on August 27, 1953 in Houston, TX to her loving parents Freddie and Rvella Ross. Thelma met the love of her life Ronald Collier, and they were married on April 16, 1983.
Thelma was strong, loving, and had a dynamic personality. She loved really hard and wouldn’t mind telling you like it is. To some, she was affectionately known as: "TK." To know her was to love her, she touched the lives of so many.
Thelma gave her life to Christ at an early age at Mt. Zon COGIC; under the leadership of Elder Bolden. She continued to serve as a Choir Director at Mt. Zion COGIC under Rev. Holman and Rev. Cawthon. Later she continued using her talents at Faith House of Prayer; under the leadership of Elder Robert Holmes.
Thelma was educated in the Galena Park School District. She used her talents in many ways: a Daycare Teacher, a Bus Driver for Channelview ISD, and a Cosmetologist - just to name a few.
Thelma’s earthly assignment was peacefully completed at age 69. She transitioned to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, December 15, 2022; at 12:33 AM at Cornerstone LTAC in Clearlake, Texas.
She is now reunited in heaven with her parents: Freddie and Rvella Ross. Her siblings: Freddie Ross Jr., Michael Ray Ross, Ralph Ross, and Peggy Adams; her nieces: Dameshia Brown, Zeronda Ross, and Shakneaqui Adams; as well as, her great nephew: Elijah Harold.
