It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William (Willie) Calvin Chumley after a long, hard fought battle with Alzheimer’s. William was born in Houston, Texas on April 25th, 1951. William passed away peacefully at his home in Pasadena, Tx. on November 8th, 2023.
William was married to his wife, Kathy Chumley, just shy of 51 years. Throughout William’s life, he was known for being devoted to his family, his career and many friends he made along the way. Although William was also known for a no nonsense approach and you always knew where you stood with him, he always managed to grow on you. William enjoyed many hobbies, such as building computers, HAM Radios, reading books, crocheting (over 100 afhgans) and also collecting and building mostly military firearms.
William started his career in the Oilfield Industry in 1972 at Oilwell. Along the way, there were many mergers and numerous name changes, but after 37 years, William retired from National Oilwell Varco.
William C. Chumley is preceded in death by his sister Nancy and parents Reba and Calvin Chumley.
Left to cherish William’s memory is his Wife; Kathy Butera Chumley of Pasadena, Tx. Daughter; Kelly Anne Caramanna (Steve) of Pasadena, Tx. Son; William Chad Chumley (Lori) of League City, Tx. Four beautiful Granddaughters; Makayla Boyer, Mary Cathryn Boyer, Addison Chumley and Avery Chumley. Along with many Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
