

Caroline Ruth Dillard was born in Winnipeg, Canada, in March 1947. Her family moved to Los Angles in 1952, and later to Garden Grove. She graduated from Orange High School in 1965, and then attended Fullerton J.C. In 1990 she was hired by the Department of Corrections and assigned to Pelican Bay Facility. She worked at Pelican Bay until 1995 when she had to retire due to a job injury. Caroline moved to Templeton where she obtained her Real Estate License, she worked several years as an agent for several companies and then became a Escrow Agent, working for several years as a floater in San Luis Obispo County. In 2008 she moved to Visalia with her husband. While in Visalia, Lennar Homes hired her to sell new homes. Finally, in 2010 she and her husband moved back to the Paso Robles area, and she finally got to retire. Caroline was very active in civic organizations, she was a longtime member of Rotary Club in Templeton, North County Republican Women's group, R.I.S.E of North County. She was a 49 year member of Beta Sigma Phi - Order of the Rose. Caroline's claim to fame, she sang on the Betty White T.V. program when she was "5." Caroline is survived by her husband, Jerry Dillard; children: Caroline Sutton, Milesa Margraves, Travis White, and Joshua White, and grandchildren: Rylie Margraves, Nixon White, Elenore White, as well as Christopher, Andreas, and Milisa of Oslo, Norway. Caroline's smile and laugh was infectious, she was always loved by everyone. Caroline passed away on February 1, 2016, from Merkel Cell Carsinoma. Funeral arrangements have been made at Kuehl-Nicolay in Paso Robles. Visitation hours will be Monday, February 8th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Services will be Tuesday at 10:00am.
