A great neighbor and friend! Always a smile and a wave at the mailboxes and the occasional glass of wine (or gin) at our place or the beautiful log home he and Bev built. Charlie warmed the room when he walked in and always had a story to share. He will be missed by many.

The world was a better place with Dr. Charlie adding his insight, wit, charm, generosity, intelligence, creativity, energy and love. He will be sorely missed by many. He was a warm and passionate soul that always had a quick smile whenever he saw you, His memory even now brings a smile to my face as I recall all the fun times we had together. My heart goes out to you Bev, but I know you will be strong, just a Charlie would want of you. God Bless.

Charlie, was an old friend, that I have not seen since 1995. He was part of my story, when this yankee lived in Nashville, Tn. He was a good man and I am sorry to hear that he passed.

Charlie was a real gentleman and a pleasure to work with. I will miss the witty conversation that I was fortunate enough to have with him every year when we would plan his grape harvest. He always tried to keep me on my toes. He is the only grower I ever worked with that accused me of picking his grapes too early - before the flavor had fully developed. He really wanted to grow the best wine possible and was known for his outstanding Cabernet. Anyone who visited his home and vineyard could feel the warmth and the love that he shared with Bev. You will be missed Charlie!

Charlie was a neighbor and friend. A wonderful man to be with; the kind that light up a room with their presence.
He and Bev were so helpful when I moved my family to Creston, and he was like a second grandfather to my son.
He will be sorely missed, by both my family and our community.

Meeting Charlie was one of the treasures of my life. He was one of the kindest gentlest souls I have ever met. I always looked forward to his birthday parties and listening to him go on about his family and his ranch. He knew what was important in life and I will truly miss him.

Charlie was like the father that I always searched for. He gave me great advice, but you had to listen because he only said it once. Both Charlie and I are airplane pilots, He had some great pilot stories to tell. We will miss you Charlie, looking forward to seeing you on the other side of the vail.
