

Daniel Augustine Leyva was born in Los Angeles, California, March 16, 1969. He was the loving son of Augustine and Gail Leyva. He grew up in La Puente, California. In his senior year he moved to Arroyo Grande where he graduated from Arroyo Grande High School. He also lived in Colorado and Arizona over 15 years. Daniel worked for over 26 years as a truck driver. Daniel was married twice to Shannon Rains and Leah Wagner. With no children of his own, he provided for his two sisters' kids. He was more than an uncle to Carlos, Mikayla, and Jeremiah Leyva, and Jasmine Lopez. Daniel loved the rain, enjoyed watching Indy Car races, and eating mama's cooking. He had a tender heart filled with generosity, a young spirit, and was greatly loved his family. Daniel was a child of God from an early age and was well known for playing an accordion for worship in his early teens. He is survived by his parents, his sisters, Barbara Lopez of Arroyo Grande and Allison Leyva of Paso Robles, his nieces and nephews: Carlos, Mikayla, and Jeremiah Leyva of Paso Robles and Jasmine Lopez of Arroyo Grande. He was loved by all his family and made them proud. He is resting in the peace of God's Spirit.
