

Diana grew up on the Davies X-D Ranch in Cholame CA, she cherished her childhood on the ranch, being outdoors, riding horses, and raising Polled Herefords. Diana attended the one-room Cholame Elementary School and Shandon High School.
Diana married Kenneth Rich, Jr., in 1962, through that union they had a son Wayne and a daughter Susan. In 1970 Diana married Major Robert (Rob) Bean. Due to Rob’s career in the Army, he gave the family great adventures living in many different places during their marriage. One of the most memorable for the family was their time in Vincenza Italy where they enjoyed living in the community and being immersed in the Italian culture. Diana returned to California and lived in the Monterey area where she found her dream career, working with adults with developmental disabilities. It became her passion! Later she returned to her roots on the Central Coast and made her home in Atascadero and married retired San Luis Obispo County Sheriff/Coroner John Pierce. Diana continued her career working at Escuela del Rio, a day-program for adults. She always treated her clients with kindness, patience, and respect. She said working at Escuela del Rio gave her joy and happiness.
Family was important to Diana, she loved her children, grandchildren, sisters, nephew, and nieces. Good times were had by all when the family got together to share old stories. Diana was an avid reader and loved her furry cat friends!
Diana was survived by her son, Wayne (Connie) St. Cyr, Lakeville, MA, daughter, Susan Hinson, Modesto, CA, granddaughter, Veronica St. Cyr, Arlington, MA, grandson Adam St. Cyr, Austin, TX, sisters, Peggy Palm, Parkfield, CA, Judy (Keith) Troili, Hermosa, SD, nephew, Dusty (Lindsay) White, Fremont, CA, niece, Dawn (Jeff) Zahn, Yuma, AZ, cousins, Richard (Carol) Kersey, Reedley, CA, and Gary (Kathy)Tucker, Paso Robles, CA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Pierce, daughter, Shari Elizabeth, parents, Gilbert and Betty Davies, Grandparents, Kenneth and Lilah Davies, and niece, Jennifer Whitesides.
Private memorial service will be held at a later day.
