Eugene Paul Terra

Eugene Paul Terra, affectionately known as “Grandpa”, was born on August 8, 1939 and left this beautiful world on Sunday, September 12, 2021 surrounded in love. Grandpa grew up on a ranch in Morro Bay with his parents, John and Belmida Terra and his brothers, George, Bucky, Tony, Bobby, Donnie and Ronnie and sisters, Laura and Tweets. To him, he had the best childhood ever as being outdoors was where he was happiest. His father, John Terra, passed away when he was 13 and so he was basically on his own to start making his way in life, living and working on various ranches. He and his friends were quite the rebels and he caught the eye of a young girl, Joan Bell, who had moved to Morro Bay from Arkansas. The two fell in love, got married and 63 years later they were still holding each other’s hand and loving each other. They started a family, had 4 children, Randy (Vicky), Pam (Craig), Rick (Kimberly) and Shannon (Tim) and then came the grandkids, Amanda, Jimmy (Jamie), Gene (Robin), Ashton (Alex), Hunter, Marcus, Austin, Kelsey, Shane, Travis, and Rylee, and then the great grandkids, Kenna, Kohen, Easton, Scarlett, Reed, Case, Leela, Evelyn, and Everett. He was from a large family and loved family gatherings. He touched the lives of so many people and he had a certain charm that endeared him to all he met. He was dearly loved by his family including his many nieces, nephews, church family, and friends. He will be sorely missed and forever in our hearts. A Celebration of Life will be held for Grandpa on October 9. 2021.
