

It is with heavy hearts we announce on February 7, 2025, Helen Raygoza peacefully received her wings and went to walk with the angels. She was 86 years old. Growing up in Oxnard, California until she moved to Paso Robles with family for the remainder of her years.
Born August 3, 1938 in El Paso, Texas to Liborio and Amada Guillen.
Helen worked at J.C. Penney’s in Oxnard and Ventura California as a Manager for the Men’s Department until her retirement.
She led a life full of adventure, love and unwavering dedication to family. She enjoyed knitting slippers for the family and friends. Also enjoying dancing, singing, gardening, Friday night cruise nights, her always on the go adventurous car rides/travels, and watching her hummingbirds and all other birds from her window. Alongside her was the cat Ellie May, her sidekick that spent most of the day lying beside her.
Her greatest joy and most cherished role was being a mother to her three children, Flora Knight, Mary Raygoza, and Martin Raygoza. The center of her world were her five grandchildren, Elizabeth Gutierrez, Sarah LaMar, Katie Knight, Ursula Kagan and Petro Raygoza. Her love for them was unconditional and more than anything she wanted them to carry that love with them always and go and lead good full lives. Along with her love for her three great grandchildren, Austin Gutierrez, Gabriella Gutierrez, and Ridge Kagan was so special, magical and full of happiness and cherished moments.
Helen is survived by her two daughters and one son, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She also has three brothers and six sisters, Gregorio Guillen, Jose Luis Guillen and Ray Guillen, Rosa Hernandez, Rosalia Ramos, Esperanza Deere, Flora Fenske, Connie Kane, Aurora Guillen. Including many nieces and nephews.
As we reflect on the life of Helen, let us celebrate the moments shared, the laughter and the love that will forever be in our hearts.
