

Ronald Argent Curtis December 27, 1942 to December 13, 2016 Ronald “Ron” Curtis, 73, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2016 in Paso Robles, Ca surrounded by his beloved family, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Ronald was born in Chester, Pennsylvania to Fred and Eva Curtis. He attended Edison Tech and then turned to a life of music while playing the trumpet for several years with such talents as Chuck Mangioni. He moved to California in 1969 where he began working in the automotive industry. In 1972 he met the love of his life, Sylvia. They soon married and moved to the Central Coast to raise their family. Ronald worked in the automotive industry for over 40 years and his commitment to his wife and daughters was unprecedented. He was known for his strength, and ability to make everyone feel welcomed and loved. He left a lasting impression on whoever he met and it can truly be said to know him, is to love him. Ronald’s hobbies included restoring classic automobiles and collecting replica hot rods. He would often be found listening and singing along to his beloved 50’s music while reading hot rod magazines. Ron’s true love was spending time with his wife and their family. Ron was the strength of his family throughout his long, hard fought battle with cancer. He was known to reassure his loved ones and had the most amazing, positive outlook. We will forever strive to continue his legacy as one of love and positivity. Most importantly he would want to be remembered for his strong faith and firm belief in the Lord. Ronald is survived by his wife and best friend of 44 years, Sylvia Curtis; two daughters and son in law: Renee Curtis and Nicole and Heath Shepherd of Templeton; seven grandchildren: Sophia, Alexi, Sydney, Kennan, Karter, Kaya and Hope: sister; Marilyn Goodberlet. He was preceded in death by his father and mother; Fred and Eva Curtis John 14: 1-4 “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come home again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going.”
