Bernice Lucille Black, 93, of Summit Station, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Thornville Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on February 11, 1923 in Buckeye Furnace, OH a daughter to the late Harley and Mable (Jackson) Kinnison. Bernice was a member of the Church of Christ and worked as a cook at Licking Heights High School for many years. She is survived by her children, Roger (Linda), Sharon Smith, Forest Jr., Linda (David) Myers and Bruce (Yumei); 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; special friend, Joy Booth and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Forest Sr.; 6 brothers and a sister. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, August 26, 2016 at KAUBER-FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, 289 S. Main St., Pataskala, OH 43062. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with Minister David Myers officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Logan, OH. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to any Hospice organization in Bernice’s memory.
