Charles Davis

Charles Everett Davis, 65, of Belfry, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, July 17, 2017 at Mount Carmel East Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Charles was born April 2, 1952, in Williamson, West Virginia, to John and Florence Davis who preceded Charles in death, along with siblings Patsy Karen Davis, Donnie Lee Davis, and James MacArthur Davis.

Charles was a remarkable man full of generosity and love. He was happiest sitting on his front porch in Kentucky playing his guitar with his faithful companion Sampson (Sam), a full bred red bloodhound. He worked in Columbus, Ohio for most of his life and then moved back home to Belfry, Kentucky to enjoy his retirement.

Charles loved his children, William Davis (Valerie Tisler), of Hilliard, and Charlotte Davis Bailey (Kenny), of Pataskala; his seven grandchildren, Cody Bailey (Michaela Green); Shannon Bailey (Ryan Preston); Andrew Bailey and wife (Gina); Chelsea Davis; Heather Ashford; James Bailey; and Brady Jones; followed by his three great-grandchildren, Landon Bailey, Liam Davis and Carsyn Preston. He is also survived by his brothers Johnny Ray Davis, of Pataskala; Roger Davis and wife (Linda), of Lucasville; Jack Davis and wife (Pat), of Selmer, TN; and William Davis (Vaughn), of Sarasota, FL; sister-in-law, Sue Davis, of Beaver, OH; as well as two aunts, Rachel Bryant and Magalene Snodgrass; uncle, Jimmy Davis. His caretakers; Mary Davis (Earn, Braxton, and Heather); Jennifer Dean (Matthew); Ben Taylor and wife (Cleo), and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 21, 2017 from 2:30p.m. to 3:30p.m. at Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home, 289 S. Main St, Pataskala, Ohio. A memorial service will follow at 3:30p.m. Immediately following service, we will have food and beverages at 107 Penrod Avenue. Columbus, Ohio. 43062.
