

In his younger days, Hendry was a faithful attendee of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Malaysia and the son of a preacher.
In Malaysia, he was trained in tool and die work and later owned his own business. He subsequently immigrated to the United States, where he worked for Penske Corporation.
Hendry was known for his spirited nature and his keen willingness to work with his hands. His heart belonged first and foremost to his wife, Brenda, and, after her, to The Ohio State Buckeyes. He was deeply devoted to his father and kept a large framed photograph of him in his family home.
He was preceded in death by his father, Pastor Samuthram, and his wife, Brenda Angel.
He is survived by his mother, Swartha John; his sister, Martha Raj; his uncle, George Raj; his brother, Jackson Samuthram, and sister-in-law, Sarah Samson; his brother, Emmanuel Samuthram, and sister-in-law, Pramela Samuthram; his brother, Lucas Samuthram; and his sister-in-law, Carol Angell, and brother-in-law, Robert Angell.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
