A funeral service for John Ray Henson, 58 of Pataskala will be held Wednesday September 17, 2014 at 1:00 pm at the Kauber-Sammons Funeral Home with Pastor Rocky Brown officiating. Burial will be in the Jersey Cemetery
John was born on June 15, 1956 in Pataskala to the late Ben and Silver (Halleck) Henson. He passed away Friday September 12, 2014.
He is preceded in death by his brothers and sisters Pete, Sue, Herman, Carol Jean, Diane and Denise. Surviving John is his girlfriend Debbie Oliver, his children John Henson Jr. and Dorie Henson, Stevie Oliver who was like a son to him, his grandchildren Kaylyn, Jenie, and Trish; brother Jack Henson, sisters Darlene Sowers and Rita Hanrahan, and numerous nieces, and nephews.
John helped many people, providing work or inspiration to do good work. He gave of himself in time and hard work for others. He was a fan of #3 Dale Earnhardt.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday September 17, 2014 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. An online memorial will be at www.kaubersammons.com. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to meet the needs of the family in his memory.
