

Joshua A. Medors, 36 of Pataskala, passed away after his 5 year fight with cancer at The James Cancer Hospital on November 28, 2012. He was a fighter who battled to the end and was also a loving husband and father. Born on June 27, 1976 in Columbus, Ohio to Janice (Barnard) and the late Steven Medors. Joshua enjoyed Volunteering, coaching SWL Youth Sports and charity work. Josh went to the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, and worked as a freelance illustrator. Josh had a dream to work for Marvel Comics, in 2010 he completed cover work for the company. Josh worked on Frank Franzetta’s Swamp Demon and Willow Creek; pencil work on G.I. Joe, America’s Elite, Dial M. For Monster, Horrorcide and 30 Days of Nights. He was diagnosed with a rare form of spinal cancer in 2008 and in 2009 became the founder of Help For Heroes which partnered with Hero Initiative-an organization that helps others in the comic book industry with cancer. Josh was also an avid Ohio State Fan. Survived by wife of 14 years Charlotte (Chaffin) Medors, son Garth Medors, two brothers Sky (Angie) Medors and Jason Medors, nieces and nephews Mara, Kayla, Allison, Seth, Cameron and Kiera, special friends Sean and Stephanie Forney. Friends may call at Kauber-Sammons Funeral Home, Pataskala on Monday, December 3, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm. Funeral service on Tuesday at the funeral home at 2pm with Pastor Randy Kuhn officiating.
