Julius Prater, 91, of Pataskala, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Ohio Veterans Home in Georgetown, OH. He was born December 20, 1930 in Pike Co., KY, a son to the late Hooper and Susie (Endicott) Prater. Julius is survived by his son, Julius Lee (Dean Barber) Prater; grandchildren, Julean Prater, Stacy Holland, Kelly Palumbo and Jessica Bono; six great-grandchildren; sister, Ruby (Charles) Barnes and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Prater; daughter, Dorothy Judith Wolfe; brothers, Arnold, Ralph, Hoy and Earl Prater and sister, Ruth McCoy. Friends may call from 3-4 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at KAUBER-FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, 289 S. Main St., Pataskala, OH 43062. Funeral service will follow at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Saturday with Pastor Calvin Alexander officiating. Honoring the family’s wishes, cremation will take place after services.
