Kathryn Ann Upchurch

Kathryn Ann Upchurch, 71, of Pataskala, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2016 after a long battle with ovarian cancer. She was born on June 4, 1944 in Columbus, OH. Kathryn was Vice President of Summit Seniors and a member of Women of The Moose, Chapter 865. She retired after 20 years of employment at DCSC, earning the rank of GS12. Kathryn never met a stranger and was a friend to all. She loved to travel, playing cards and loved being a grandma. Kathryn was a diehard Buckeye football fan and would never miss a game. She is survived by her son, Mark (Jennifer) Hoppe; granddaughters, Olivia and Sophia Hoppe; brothers, Mike and Steve Valentine. Kathryn is preceded in death by her husband, Chester Upchurch and daughter, Marilyn Martin. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at KAUBER-FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, 289 S. Main St., Pataskala, OH 43062. Funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Paul Snoddy officiating. Interment will follow at Pataskala Cemetery.
