Mary Joanne Engel, age 92, of Columbus, Ohio and Hollywood, Florida. Born Mary Joanne Bolster at home in Columbus, Ohio, on May 3rd, 1929. Joanne was very dedicated to her faith in God, Irish heritage, and family. Joanne was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. Her greatest joy was her family. She raised eight children and later enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She spent many years retired in Florida, enjoying the sunshine, pool, and ocean with her daughter Patti. Joanne is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Engel and four of her children: Patti, Bill, Rick, and Mike Engel. She is survived by her loving children: Terri (Jack) Engel-Dauben, Kris Engel, Tammi Hall, and Juli (Mike) Cramer, and eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, with two more on the way. A private burial will be held at Resurrection Cemetery, Lewis Center, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 1404 Goodale Blvd #200, Columbus, OH 43212 in Mary’s memory.
