Mary Jane Scott

Mary Jane Scott, 83 of Columbus, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 surrounded by her loving family at her residence. She was born on December 8, 1932 in Akron, OH, a daughter to the late Holly and Elizabeth Fields. Mary Jane is survived by her loving spouse, Derrill "Bruce" Scott, and was married for 63 years. They were high school sweethearts and traveled the world while Bruce was in the Air Force. They retired in Cape Coral, Fl and moved back to Columbus, OH four years ago leaving many wonderful friends. In addition to her husband, she is also survived by her three children, Dana Bruce (Deb) Scott, Cheryl (Jeff) Caslow and R. Paul (Brenda) Scott; three granddaughters, Angie (Ron) Anderson, Alyssa (Andy) Kletrovets and Katie Riley; four great-grandchildren, Courtney, Savannah, Faith and Braedan; two sisters, Dolores Polack and Ann Stayshich; and many nieces and nephews. Mary Jane is preceded in death by her grandson Joseph Scott. She had a great sense of humor and had an infectious laugh that would brighten any room.
