Patty Jo Mauger, 83, of Pataskala, passed away on December 4, 2014 at Tuscany Gardens. She was born on April 10, 1931, a daughter to the late Rolla and Anna (Hopton) Beach. Patty Jo is a retired teacher from Pataskala Elementary School and an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Pataskala. She is survived by her children, Jud, Jay (Sofie Cappa), Kelly (Bruce) DeHart and Mat (Sherri); grandchildren, Kristi Varner, Colton Maxwell, Erin (Aaron) Blankenship, Emily (Matt) Dillon, Amanda Cappa, Jacob and Abigail; brother, Rolla Jr. (Loretta) Beach and many nieces and nephews. Patty Jo is preceded in death by her husband, Harry and sister, Gene (Russ) Johnson. Friends may call from 5:00 pm to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 5, 2014 at the Kauber-Sammons Funeral Home, 289 South Main St. in Pataskala. Funeral Service will follow on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the Church, 405 S Main St. in Pataskala with The Rev. Dr. Richard Ellsworth officiating. Interment will be at Pataskala Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to (JDRF) the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in Patty Jo’s memory.
