Robert “Bob” Louis Shaffer, age 98, a longtime resident of Pataskala, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 1, 2025. at Tuscany Gardens in Pataskala, Ohio. He was born on January 11, 1927 in Williamsport, OH to the late Lawrence and Mary Shaffer. Bob is survived by his beloved children, Risë Gordon and Rudy (Cindy) Shaffer; grandchildren, Taylor and Stacy Gordon, MaryJo Jones, and Kasey Ricketts; six great-grandchildren; and a host of many other family, friends, and loved ones. In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in passing by his loving wife of 77 years, Mildred “Milly” Shaffer. Family and friends may gather from 6:00-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home, 289 S. Main St., Pataskala, OH 43062. Bob will be laid to rest at Jersey Cemetery in Pataskala. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Bob’s name to the West Licking Historical Society, PO Box 25 Etna, OH 43018.
