

Preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Janet and Joseph Kerr, fraternal grandparents, James and Josephine Johnson and aunt, Karol Jo Fowler.
Survived by his sister, Tiffany (David) McCane; niece, and nephews, Ashley, Gabriel and Finley McCane, along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Shannon graduated from Watkins Memorial High School and was on the wrestling team and the football team. He was honored to be selected in his junior year as a member of the fall homecoming court at Watkins. He played Little League Baseball, which his dad helped coach. He was a proud fan of The Ohio State University football, and the New York Giants were his favorite NFL team. His many interests included: collecting books; listening to music, from Metallica and Tool to the Beatles. He was a movie “buff” and especially liked filmmaker Stanley Kubrick’s movies, 2001: A Space Odyssey, being his favorite.
Shannon loved his dad’s cooking, especially his Italian Christmas dinners and traditional Thanksgiving family dinners.
He enjoyed spending summer weekends with his dad and sister (and sometimes, mom) at the NHRA, Spring Nationals Drag Racing at National Trail Raceway. He loved cars, especially Mustangs.
He was interested in science, from Astronomy to NASA, anything space related, and the Aurora Borealis.
Shannon was employed by the Ohio BMV for five years.
He trained to obtain a Powered Industrial Vehicle Operator’s License and worked for L Brands, Mast Global Logistics.
He was most recently employed by the Greater Columbus Convention Center as a parking department supervisor.
At Shannon’s request there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request a tree or shrub be planted to honor Shannon’s memory.
