Steven Wayne Wheatley

Steven Wayne Wheatley 60, of Groveport, OH passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2012. A Funeral Service will be held at 1pm on Friday, September 7, 2012 at Kauber-Sammons Funeral Home, 289 S. Main St., Pataskala, OH. Interment to follow at Union Evangelical Cemetery in Baltimore, OH.

Steven was born on January 27, 1952 Columbus, OH to the late Samuel and Margaret (Blizzard) Wheatley. Steven graduated from Reynoldsburg High School and Eastland Vocational High School in 1970. Steven worked as a licensed electrician who worked in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and on the Alaskan Pipeline. Steven loved going fast, he was an avid drag-bike motorcycle racer and dirt–bike motorcycle racer which lead to him win seven national championships in his class.

Steven is survived by his sister Wendy (Carl) Hubbard Raftery, special nephew Joel (Amy) Hubbard, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.

Steven is preceded in death by sister Cheryl Kennedy, nephew Carl Raftery Jr. and many other family members.

Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Thursday, September 6, 2012 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in loving memory of Steven to Huntington’s Disease Society of America, Central Ohio Chapter, 490 City Park Ave., STE C, Columbus, OH 43215.
