Thomas Michael Carruthers, 76, of Pataskala, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 24, 2015 at his residence. He was born on November 3, 1938 in Groveport, OH, a son to the late Fred and Margaret Carruthers. Thomas was a U.S. Navy Veteran and self-employed for several years following his time in the military. He was an amateur radio operator (K8TMC). Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Judith; children, Ron (Pamela), Linda Moreland, Thomas (Charlene), Lisa Lybarger, Lee Ann (Bradley) Williams, Marie (John) Fisher, Vera (Rick) Flegle and Trudi (Jeff) Folk; 25 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and sisters, Patti Summerville and Emma Lu (Mel) Miller. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph, Richard and 1 great-grandson. A private service will be held by the family at KAUBER-FRALEY FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Brian Burd officiating. Interment will follow at Pataskala Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio, 2269 Cherry Valley Rd, Newark, OH 43055, in Thomas’s memory.
