Gail Joanne Mangun

Gail Joann Mangun was born at the Children's Hospital in Boise, Idaho Nov. 26 1931 and passed away March 21st, 2017 at the Payette Care & Rehabilitation Center in Payette. She was adopted by Guy & Mildred Mangun in Payette. She attended grade school and graduated from Payette High School in 1949. She attended Links School of Business in Boise. She worked as a bookkeeper & receptionist for different businesses in Boise, Hawaii, & Phoenix, AZ. In 1979 she returned to Payette to help & assist her mother Mildred until her death.

She created her own janitorial business & also worked the Payette County Fair for 17 years. She retired in 1995. She was involved in Eastern Star in Payette for many years. She was Worthy Matron in 1985.

Joann is survived by her sister-in-law Verla Mangun in Kooskia, Id. who was married to her brother Ted, 2 nephews & 1 niece, 11 great nieces & nephews, 8 great-great nieces & nephews.

According to her wishes there will be no services & her ashes will be buried next to her brother at the family cabin outside of Council, Id. Joann spent many many enjoyable summers up there with her family from the time it was purchased in 1948.
