

Patricia Yvonne May, 82, of Star, formerly of Ontario, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Spring Creek Assisted Living Center – Meridian. A viewing will be held from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 5th at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette with burial following at Evergreen Cemetery, Ontario. Patricia was born Sept. 10, 1934, in Bellevue, ID to Charles I. and Emma M. Johnson. She attended various schools in the Treasure Valley, graduating in 1953 from Payette High School. On Aug. 21, 1955 she married Floyd A. May in Payette and they made their home in Ontario. In 1975, she was employed as an office manager for Keith O’Brien Department Stores, where she remained until her retirement in 2000.
In 2006, Pat and Floyd moved to Star to be closer to family. They enjoyed several Caribbean cruises, as well as trips to Hawaii and Alaska. Pat also enjoyed accompanying Floyd as he continued to play music in the Valley throughout his lifetime. They also enjoyed various family activities during those years. After Floyd passed away in 2011, Pat remained in their home until 2015, when she moved to Spring Creek Assisted Living in Meridian.
Pat is survived by her children and their spouses, Karen and Ron Norris, Judy and Robert Browning, and Steve and Bobbi May; as well as her Shih Tzu, Ginger; eight grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Her grandparents; parents, Charles and Emma Johnson; daughter, Carleen Y. May; eight siblings; and two grandsons preceded her in death.
