Barbara Anne McBrayer, age 76, of Newnan, GA passed away on Sunday, June3, 2012. She was born in Atlanta, GA on October 4, 1935 to Lenzy Louis Mize and Helen Romer Mize. Barbara was a secretary for the US Army, the G.B.I., and Larry White & Associates. She was active with the Lady’s Golf Association at White Oak Country Club and she was affectionately known as the “Golf Rat”. She is preceded in death by her husband William Clairborne McBrayer; and her parents, Helen R. Mize and Lenzy Louis Mize; and her sister, Patricia McSwan. Barbara is survived by her sons, Gregory Scott McBrayer and Michael Keith McBrayer; and her aunts, Jeannine Morrison and Cecilia Ramsy. A memorial service will be held at 10:00am, on Friday, June 22, 2012 at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 1250 Lora Smith Road, Newnan, GA 30265.
