Barney Nastasi

Barney met Joanne Brendel at his Dental lab “B.N Cermaics”, and were married on June 27th, 1992, in West Hempstead, New York. They had their first son Matthew Nastasi in New Hyde Park, New York on May 28th, 1993. Shortly after, they moved to Peachtree City, Ga. On April 23, 2001, they had their second son, Christopher Nastasi.

Barney worked as Master Jeweler for most of his life. In his retirement years, He worked at Braelinn Golf Club as a Ranger. Barney was the most loving husband and father. He was a family man and loved his wife Joanne of 32 years and his two children Christopher and Matthew. He loved spending time with his family and his dog Maddie. His biggest joy was his nine-month-old grandson Gabriel.

Barney is survived by his wife, Joanne Nastasi; his sons, Matthew and Christopher Nastasi; his daughter-in-law, Kristyn Nastasi; and grandson, Gabriel Nastasi. He is also survived by his siblings and their spouses: Anna and Donald O’Leary, Al and Trish Nastasi, and Anthony Nastasi; his father and late mother-in-law: Jim, and Anna Brendel; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Michael and Jen Brendel; and his nieces and nephews: Mark O’Leary, Michelle Shivers, Julianna Brendel, and Jake Brendel.

Barney passed peacefully at Roosevelt Warm Springs LTAC Hospital on May 15, 2023. He was surrounded by his wife and two children.

A funeral service is scheduled on Thursday May 18, 2023 at 11:00am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Peachtree City, Georgia.
