Christian will always be remembered and loved by me and Sarah grace and her dad. He was our angel. 

What an awesome young man he was!  He lives on in our memory and we will always remember the impact his life had on us. 
He will be in our hearts forever. ❤️

Hahahahah I remember this!!!! God, we had the best friendship after the relationship ended. I was always the world’s biggest overthinker and he tried so hard to help me just go with the flow. I love him so much hahaha (the bio section)

Christian dated our daughter, Traci, and I remember him as always being so full of life....so fun/funny....very engaging from the first time we met him.  Traci was going through a tough stretch in life and Christian was the one who could bring a smile to her face.  They were dating at Thanksgiving and Christian invited our family to spend Thanksgiving with the Boggs.  Even though we didn't know the Boggs family, I remember thinking how very kind and thoughtful to invite total strangers to spend such a special holiday with his family.  It was a really special time together....he truly loved his family so very much.  We were so incredibly sorry to hear of Christian's passing.....he was truly an incredible young man.  Thinking of you all and praying for God's peace at this difficult time.

The whole time we were dating, I always snuck pics of him and was like “look who I’m hanging out with omg” hahahaha. 

So Christian and I actually met when he wanted to write about artists for the blog of the company I used to help run in the music scene. One of the girls I ran it with encouraged him to contact me about it. He was (obviously) super friendly and wrote a few blog posts in exchange for free tickets. He was so good at it, I remember telling my boss “this is really impressive.” His writing was so full of personality and imagery, I was so blown away by his talent and actually still have a few of the blog posts saved in my email. :)

So... this is kind of just a random funny thing, but I love knitting. I'm always self conscious about it not being a "cool" hobby lol but it's so enjoyable for me. Anyway, I was going through my emails and found where in Christmas of 2015 Christian had either bought me a knitting patterns book, or maybe he mentioned he had a relative who had a copy to pass along to me. I smiled so much when I came across that email.... he was always so supportive of everything I was passionate about, I remember how much it meant for me for him to do that for me:)

My light in the darkness, the calm to my chaos, the person who walked me through the darkest days of my life and still loved me all the same... my heart continues to ache every day that he’s not here, yet I know I will be spending eternity in the same place as him. I’ll be biding my time until then, spending my days working towards becoming the person he knew I could become. Love this guy forever and forever will cherish the bond we found with each other. 

My family and I thank God for Christian’s life. He will always be OUR ANGEL and hold a special place in our hearts. 

I will never forget the first time I ever met Christian. It was on Friday, October 30, 2020. I had just dropped off my daughter at the apartments where he lived. Afterwards he came out and told me that he was on staff and he reassured me it was a great place. He shared a little bit of his story and I shared a little bit of ours. His words were so kind and encouraging and our conversation was so timely. It felt very soothing and healing. I gave him a hug and told him how much that meant to me. I told him he was MY ANGEL sent from God to encourage my mothers heart. As I got into my car and drove away, I cried when I remembered his words to me. I told several people about the angel God sent to me that day. 

Christian and my daughter became good friends. We laughed together about that story!  He loved to hear it and I loved to tell it!

So when Sarah Grace started struggling, he was truly a man of his word. He helped her get to a good place in her life. If it wasn’t for his help and sobriety, I don’t know where she would be. He helped us in our greatest time of need. 

He loved her unconditionally and truly wanted what was best for her. He was a true and dear friend to her. 

I will be forever grateful for Christian’s  powerful influence in Sarah Graces’ life. Christian holds a very special place in our hearts and he will always be OUR ANGEL!!!

We love him and will miss him so much!!!


Traci Yoshimura thank you so much for all the beautiful memories you have shared. I’ve been reading them today and the tears keep coming. They are wonderful, heartfelt memories that we will always share of our beloved son. It’s hard to believe that he’s gone😰I miss him so much! Thanks for sharing♥️♥️

I’ve been talking a *lot* with one of Christian’s closest friends and getting to know even more about him. I continue to be in awe of what kind of person he was and feel so blessed that he and I had the strength of bond we did. Here’s a silly screenshot I found with a mutual friend from back then :)
Bragging about him and showing him off was legit my favorite. I couldn’t believe after so many toxic relationships that a man could be so kind, sincere, and loving. I never stopped talking about him to anyone..... even before we dated hahaha. He’s so special to me and always will be.

This one isn’t a specific memory, just a reflection. I’m just reminiscing this morning (and all day, generally speaking :) on how special Christian was to me. 5ish years ago we were inseparable. He was my best best best friend and I loved and cherished the bond we had. We only took some space because I went through something traumatic later that year and withdrew from almost everyone I knew to heal. That process is still ongoing and I’m heartbroken this happened before we could pick up where we left off. I never stopped caring about him... I carried him close to me all those years. That said we did recently begin to revisit our friendship, and our last conversation was shared giddiness about his fitness progress. My last words to him were “you’ve been through a lot and I’m extremely proud of you.” While our friendship looks a little different now, that bond has not been broken. I will carry him with me in my heart until the end of time. I love Christian more than anything, and  I’m beginning to no longer fear the day when it’s my time as well... because I know exactly who I will see on the other side. 

More memories coming :) the Veterans Day thing, I embarrassingly don’t know a lot about our troops and who to say that to. I’ve been learning a lot though :)

I don't even know where to begin. Me and christian would hang out almost everyday and watch Naruto. We would continue throughout the years watching other animes together as well. I couldn't even begin to tell you how much fun we would have at west Georgia when he would let me stay at his college apartment so I could make it to class on time because I didnt live on campus.  There was one time bonarroo 15 I think that was the year he went I randomly spotted him in a crowd of 10000 people and out of all the shows it could have been it was it was Tove lo. I loved that man to death and I wish we could finish watching the last season of attack of titan together. To the family reading this the Boggs family will always have a special place in my heart. 

Christian was the most down to earth dude. His smile lit up the room and he always made you laugh. I remember when I had moved away from Atlanta he reached out to just say hi. He always kept it real and was a hell of a hugger. My condolences to his family and the community he left behind. 

Christain was such a fun guy with a lot of love to give, and while I knew him he was full of life. It was always good to see him and enjoy music together, he was always a welcome sight at any show. He was very friendly, he never started any problems and was supportive of his friends. He will not be forgotten. 

One of the best things about him when it came to the edm scene was his incredible support for local artists. He was SO supportive of peers who wanted to become DJ/producers, or peers who already were one, and loved hyping them up even in the early days. Everyone else would be busy getting caught up in online DJ drama meanwhile he’s just over there using his social media to share their profiles/songs. Just one more way his love of pumping people up showed up :) I swear that man was an endless fountain of support for the people around him. 

Another one of my favorite memories with Christian was this one time we went to some restaurant in Atlanta where you wait in line to order.... was it pizza? I don’t remember. What I do remember is a song coming on that he loved. Or maybe that I loved. And he wanted so badly for me to dance along to it... but of course I was too self conscious.... so of course he busts out dancing and singing in the middle of this pizza joint hahahah. The guys behind the counter were loving it!!! That is a guy who had no fear in this life. I’ll know my work on myself is done when I no longer fear looking like an idiot doing the same... lol!

One of my favorite things about him that I’ve been reflecting on recently is just how much he was dedicated to helping me be happy in my own two shoes. He knew I struggled a lot with feeling like I was enough as I am. But he wanted so badly for me to feel like- and even realize- I was. Yes he loved doing things I enjoyed like going shopping with me haha... but more than that he hoped to see me stop believing I needed cute outfits to be, what he thought was a beautiful person. Not just physically but overall.  I have multiple messages from him just like this. These were from when we dated but he carried the same opinion throughout our friendship too :)

One of my good friends had an awesome opportunity to do artist hospitality/relations at a music festival in northern TN. We traveled up there together and worked the event- had a blast with him, but the event TOTALLY fell apart lol. But if you’re ever at a place where a disaster is happening Christian was definitely the person you wanted to be there with :) here’s one of the green rooms or maybe this was the volunteer space. I don’t think we got any pics while we were there :(

The best time of my day is the time I get to spend digging up old memories I can post here :)

This is to add to my previous post about how blown away I was by Christian’s lack of insecurity. Another way that showed up in our relationship was his complete and wholehearted support of my passions. No matter what they were. No matter where they took me. What?! He loved my independence. He wanted me to do whatever I wanted all the time... also what?! I had never EVER heard of a man so supportive of me just being my best and truest self. He wanted me to feel free to not people please or worry about anyone else’s opinions as I lived my life. But of course if it came to him it was no sweat to try to make him happy :) I came across an old post from Humans of New York... I couldn’t show the comments in the screenshot, but 5 years ago I had tagged him in a comment on this. He was the last real relationship I had and completely set a new standard for future ones :) friendships too, shoot! 

So I’m notoriously bad at letting myself buy things I like, but which have no functional benefit or that offer much value beyond being enjoyable. Like clothes that aren’t on sale. Or snacks that aren’t healthy. Anyway so one Black Friday christian and I actually made plans to go shopping. I remember walking through Atlantic Station with him just having a blast. You know, thinking back on it, he actually enjoyed doing most activities I signed us up for LOL. He was excited that I was excited to go shopping. Definitely takes a rare guy to talk through the stuff you pick off a rack to help you decide what to buy :)

When Me, Matt and Christian were younger Matt and I would wrestle against Christian in a 2v1 match and Christian would always manage to beat us both every time we would wrestle against him. We would also spend countless hours in the pool playing all different types of pool games and you would teach Matt and I how to do front flips and back flips off the diving board. 

One thing I was a huge fan of was our similar-ish sleeping schedules hahah. I’m a huge fan of staying up a little and having super slow mornings, getting good work done (one of my jobs was 100% remote) then just spending the day doing whatever. I have a lot of good memories of us going up to East Point for the Ardens Garden, or getting lunch together, or getting late night shrimp fried rice etc. we packed a lot of good memories in to 3 months! 

Another pic from wherever we were hanging out :) I remember sometimes we hung out with his other friend group and occasionally went to a popular sports bar. Mighta been there, I can’t recall. 

I cannot emphasize enough how much he was just THERE for me- wasn’t even a question. He loved to be a friend much like the pastor was saying this evening. It was no sweat off his back to just be there. It really blew me away cuz sometimes my stuff was... a lot. He didn’t care tho. I loved how the pastor said- what was it- something like how Christian wanted everyone to feel like they had a friend. I can attest to that being 10000% true. He genuinely wanted the people around him to be uplifted. 

On a side note: I was so much better off as a result of his support and healed from my dark time so much better. I was a classic overthinker and he was always so ready to just listen and do whatever he could to support me. I’m wishing I had the chance to be there for him in return now.  I miss him so much :(

One thing I loved doing with him was getting into the shows he liked. I wasn’t much of a TV person but he got sooooo into them I wanted to be able to talk about them with him. Prison break was one of them. But also Rick and Morty. Before we officially started dating- I think- we watched a ton of it. He always had things he wanted to show me in the episodes that he thought would be relevant to the dark time I was going through. The show’s wisdom nuggets really did help a LOT. The attached pic was just a random inspired painting I did of one of his favorite quotes with relevant characters from that episode. I don’t think that was his view of love as much as it was his interest in a good  scientific viewpoint. At least that’s what I tell myself ;D

The painting is important to me though because it is NOT often that someone comes around who inspires my muse. But he did just that. Honestly he always tried helping me step into my passions through verbal support but idk if he realized he inspired me just by being himself, in my life. 

I’m pretty sure this neck tats pic was either the same day or day after the bookbag incident from earlier. Hahaha he had joked that the neck tats probably scared the thief from fighting him. I mean maybe they did haha. We went to a restaurant I think called Ranchero in Peachtree City.... not El Ranchero but just Ranchero (I wanted to go by today but couldn’t)... it was my favorite Mexican restaurant ever lol I went back multiple times just by myself. I thinkkkk this pic was there but I can’t remember. Anyway those little lunch dates were my very favorites. So much laughter and just getting to know more about him :)

My dear Christian I have so many wonderful memories of you! I wish I could have lived closer so I could have spent more time with you as you grew up. I’m gonna miss you deeply.  My heart is aching.

So my next story about our relationship is actually BEFORE we ever dated. This screenshot speaks for itself! What I love is that neither of us technically like “hit on” the other person... it all just organically happened. He was one of those people I felt like I could trust from the beginning and I cherished that. Especially cuz we lived in a scene full of... let’s say... people with questionable morals. 

Also the first message- we got a lot closer during a time when i needed a lottttt of support. He was so there for me during that time despite how self conscious I’d get about how many messages I was sending. Or it would sometimes be my emotional stuff plus random life stuff... either way he never seemed to mind. Man I love that man you guys

So, back in late 2015 Christian and I dated for about 3 months. I have to say it was my favorite relationship I’ve ever had. I will share so much more but one of the biggest things that changed my life was learning from him that there IS such thing as men who are secure in themselves and the relationship. Who knew?! Lol I had had exes who got threatened by every male friend I had and manipulated me to drop them... or exes who were insecure about the male tour managers or label execs I’d meet in the music industry etc...  I missed HUGE opportunities to appease those guys. Anyway along comes Christian who was so secure in our relationship that if I told him someone was hitting on me he’d be like “well ya cuz he’s got good taste!” Or something hahaha. He was SO supportive of me networking with men in the industry. He would chat with females who would come up to him, because he’s friendly etc, but pull me over and introduce me as soon as I’d walk by or like make a point to not let it get past the point of just being a nice dude. I loved that he was comfortable having conversations with women and making new friends, and equally comfortable establishing boundaries around it- and the women could take it or leave it, be friends or not. I figure he knew himself well enough to know he would never do anything to cross a boundary. I felt such a sense of calmness and safety and cherished that trust we were able to share. All of this leads me to my next story which I’ll post next!

I remember moving here in 2002. When I started at Madras middle school I had no clue who anyone was. One of the first people I met was Christian Boggs. From the time I met him,to the last time I saw him he always had that big goofy smile on his face. I miss you brother. Love u man

I really don’t know where to begin, C-F’n-B. So many good times dating back to Madras Middle when we both played the drums or “percussion” in band 😂 to the track team in 8th grade where we thought we were rockstars. Then high school memories of hangin out in Coach Berry’s American Studies class, and getting you to tryout for the soccer team, aptly named  “Plan C” for 3rd string goalie! Finally off to GSU living in the big city and hanging out in The Commons at my dorm or the many good times at your spot, the Hank Aaron house. Dude we just have too many memories to count. Going to Drift Atlanta, tons of house parties, and endless times chillin, watching MMA, and playing video games. Always had the group laughing, joking, and permanent smiles. You will always be remembered, my friend. I’ll see you in the next life, Boggsy.

There are literally soooo many things to share from the short period of time Christian and I dated... he was an AMAZING guy when it came to relationships. I will have to gather the stories later but here's a pic I really love of when we went to dinner together in Atlanta one night :)

Maybe not the best pic hahaha but one of the most positive times of my life was when I was spending a lot of time in Newnan/Sharpsburg with Christian and his friend Chadd. Christian was really there for me during a hard experience and we went to waffle house, steak n shake etc all the time.

A great example of Christian's personality. Back then I struggled to just be myself and have fun and he was always there ready to help me break loose.

Christian was always the most adorable and sweetest, kind and loving little boy and young man. My boys Chad and Kyle adored him. Here are some sweet memories. Prayers and best wishes to get through this day with love. 🙏😇😘

One year Christian and I decided to go to a big music festival together. It was kinda last minute and neither of us really had a group planned to go with. I tell you this guy did not ever meet a stranger. I was freaking out beforehand because I had no idea who we were gonna camp with. I was so bummed out we couldn’t join up with a group. But Christian wasn’t concerned about it for a second. As we entered the camping grounds with our stuff (it was set up in a way that you set up camp in order of your arrival, all the way down the boardwalk) he waltzes up to one of the groups just ahead of us, starts chatting with them, and before I knew it we had a campground in the midst of a bunch of new friends. It ended up being a GREAT weekend. And pardon my horrifying fashion choices back then LOLOL

Another one of my favorites was one night at that same venue. I usually had to be there right when the doors opened, so we were two of maybe 10 people there. The first artist came on and they were actually really good (sometimes they were questionable hahaha). Anyway so there was no way on earth I was gonna be on the dance floor alone. I told Christian that and he was like omg no you gotta come out! And lo and behold as I stood on the sidelines, he just runs out and starts dancing his heart out. Totally alone in the middle of a venue, no cares in the world, just loving life and loving the music and hoping to get more people comfortable dancing in an empty venue. If I remember correctly a couple people went and actually joined him as a result!! Sad to say I was still too self conscious to join him hahahah but I felt like that captured soooo much of who he is. 

I have so many stories to tell. I will start with one of my all time favorites though:) I used to work for a company who hosted some of the music events he liked to attend. One night, the event was wrapping up pretty late. I often brought my laptop with me to work and mistakenly assumed it would be safe backstage unattended. As the lights came on and everyone was being ushered out, I realized I didn’t see my backpack. I started panicking. I looked everywhere for it and was asking everyone if they had seen it. Nobody had. But then Christian comes running in the front door with it!!! I was elated and asked where he found it. He proceeds to tell me how he had FOUND THE THIEF AND RIPPED IT OFF HIS BACK. The thief didn’t put up a fight because he knew what he had done, just walked off apparently. I couldn’t believe it. I will always love that story so much. He was always the better, more fearless half of our friendship :) 

Christian Aaron Boggs made such a huge impact on so many lives. He was such a kind guy, he had such a huge heart, he could make anybody laugh and brought such light to our family. We were always so happy to see him and hear about his next new adventure. Him and I tryed to remain close he was my not only family, he was my friend and confidont. He never judged and was always so caring.  I'll never forget watching him and my brother as they sat in our grandma's bedroom in front of her tv playing video games. Or running around the yard playing tag or touch football after Thanksgiving dinner. Or just riding around listening to music laughing  enjoying spending time with each other. He loved being a son, a brother, a cousin and a uncle. He now sits with my dad, our grandma, great grandma and finally had the chance to meet our grandpa. I'm always going to love him and I will forever miss him. I can't wait to see him again. Please watch over us all now that you have your angel wings my sweet cousin. Until then, I love you cuz

I remember I kept asking Christian to play one of his games as a kid. He wouldn’t let me play and told me later that it was because I never said please. Ever since I’ve then I’ve remembered to always say please and thank you.

I will miss the sweet-natured and gentle soul I used to play with in a Minnesota sandbox all those years ago. I'll miss engaging with an inherently curious mind that moved at warp speed. I'll miss the conversations which ranged from deep-dives into theology's most vexing questions, to the airing of comprehensive grievances about modern professional wrestling's pitfalls. I'll miss his rare brand of exuberance, the laughter-riddled takes on 21st century Casanova practices. I'll miss hearing about his hopes, aspirations, and his unfaltering desire to leave the world a better place than he found it. 

I'll forever admire the compassionate man who, despite his own troubles, remained dutifully committed to keeping the heads of his struggling friends' above the tide. I'll be forever blessed by the gift of his friendship. And while I'll long for opportunities and times now lost, I will remain grateful for the experiences had.

I'll forever miss my old friend. Yet I'll take comfort in knowing that he's chasing his passions everlasting.

While Christian is now beyond our eye line, his silhouette can still be seen. His presence can still be felt. So I'll endeavor to safeguard a legacy built of genuineness, to live as he did. To pin my loves to my sleeve for all to see. To chase my interests with wide-eyed excitement. To smile from ear-to-ear. To almost bludgeon others into laughing often. To ask as many questions as humanly possible. And, perhaps with a bit of trepidation, to tell jokes even if they're a smidge inappropriate.

And when the darkness of his absence encroaches, I'll look for the light. I'll turn on a Braves game. I'll take in some seemingly obscure professional wrestling matches from a distant land. I'll crank up the volume on some hip-hop. I'll watch some classic 1990s anime cartoons, or even some vintage Dan Henderson highlight reels. For it's there that I'll find my old friend.

My favorite memory of Christian actually happened in October 2020. It was the first time I had seen him in a while. He came into the Boggs house laughing and loving life. Christian was playing with Dawson and making him laugh, of course. I had known Christian for about 5 years at that point, but I had never seen him look so good. He was happy and himself. I’ll always treasure that memory. He will be surely missed.
