Edna Earle Lee Stolar was born in Pompano, FL on December 28, 1937, to the late Henry (1959) and Clara Lee (1999). Edna Earle attended school in Pompano Beach and graduated from Pompano Beach High School in 1957. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church Pompano. She was a Christian. In her early working years, she worked at Hamilton’s Drug Store, Pompano Pharmacy and Neisner’s.
In 1972, Richard, Edna and their sons moved to Morrow, GA where there home off Interstate 75 was Edna’s Bed and Breakfast for traveling relatives. They would find her looking out the front door waiting on their arrival.
There the spirit of giving continued as she became involved in the boys’ sports programs serving wherever needed. She was awarded the Most Spirited Mom one season. She was their biggest cheerleader. In 2019 she moved to Newnan and lived at Brookdale Senior Community and in March of this year she moved to The Claiborne at Newnan Lakes where she made many friends. The staff and residents commented that her presence and wit always lit up the room.
Edna loved to bake and share those sweets with neighbors or those in need of encouragement. One of her best memories was going to Disney World, along with her husband Richard, and volunteering at a water station during the Disney World Marathon. Her most honorable profession was that of a homemaker. She kept the house clean and the family in check teaching them how to give, service above self.
On Wednesday September 8, 2021, after a brief illness she went to her home in Heaven. She looked forward to this day knowing that she would see Jesus and many family members who have gone before. If you were to ask her, how are you doing, she would answer “I’ll be OK “and “don’t worry, always trust in the Lord”. Today we celebrate that she is whole, with no illness and most importantly, we know where she is.
Edna is survived by her sons, Ken Stolar of Pompano Beach, FL, and Richard Stolar, (Annette) of Sharpsburg, GA; sister, Henrietta Taylor (Jack) of Sautee Nacoochee, GA; sister-in-law, Helen Lee of Delray Beach, FL; two grandchildren, Jessica (Jason) Louviere and Jacob Stolar; and great-grandchildren, Jackson and Jada Louviere.
