Jill Annette Christie

Jill Annette (Giles) Christie, age 64, resident of Fayetteville, Georgia was born on December 14, 1957 to Bill and Ella Mae (Morrison) Giles in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Jill went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday morning, July 18, 2022 at her home in Fayetteville, Georgia.

Jill received her education at Bartlesville Public Schools and graduated from Sooner High School in 1976. She married the love of her life, David A. Christie, on December 9, 1978 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She began attending Rogers State University in Claremore, Oklahoma and graduated from Georgia State University in 1998 with a degree in Physical Therapy. She worked for many years as a home health Physical Therapist. Jill was an avid quilter, having made approximately 100 quilts. She was a remarkable seamstress and even made her own wedding dress. She loved to travel in the United States and abroad including Greece, Italy, South Africa, Swaziland, Germany, Austria, and Hungary. A lifelong and devoted Christian, Jill was a faithful member of the Peachtree City Church of Christ. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Jill is survived by her husband, Dave Christie of the home in Fayetteville, Georgia; her three children, Jennifer Siemens and husband Kevin of Clemson, South Carolina, Wesley Christie and wife Alisha of Helena, Alabama, and Laura Christie and husband John Marshall of Upton, Wyoming; ten grandchildren, Kate Siemens, Anna Siemens, Olivia Siemens, Miles Christie, Ella Christie, Hanson Nance, Weston Nance, Austin Johnson, Connor Marshall, and Wyatt Marshall; two sisters, Janet Drake and husband David of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, and Judy Brown and husband James of Coweta, Oklahoma; one aunt, Nan Morrison of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jill was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Ella Mae Giles.

Visitation will be from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Friday, July 22, 2022 at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home in Peachtree City, Georgia. Services celebrating Jill’s life will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at the Peachtree City Church of Christ, 201 S. Peachtree Parkway, Peachtree City, Georgia, 30269.
