

Born August 13, 1929, in Redan, Georgia, she was the daughter of Idis F. and Lucile Lyon Blackmon.
Pat graduated from Girls High in Atlanta, Georgia in 1947 and married Lamar that same year. In 1958 they moved to Orlando, Florida where Pat resided until the spring of 2016. She discovered painting in her later years and was proud to have one of her paintings included in the “From Grandmother’s Brush” exhibit at The Orlando Museum of Art in 2001. Pat also loved playing tennis at Fort Gatlin Tennis Center in Orlando.
She is survived by son Michael Lamar Thomas of Edgewater, Florida, daughter Penny Thomas of Newnan, Georgia, 2 grandchildren, Michelle Thomas Sullivan of Senoia, Georgia and Christopher Thomas of Edgewater, Florida. She is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren and 6 nieces and nephews.
In addition to her beloved husband, Lamar, she was predeceased by her two sisters, Mary Frances Blackmon Miller and Ruth Elizabeth Blackmon McCurry.
A memorial service will be held in the chapel at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home in Peachtree City, GA on Friday, January 20, 2016 at 1:00pm. Visitation is one hour prior to the service.
