Mary Charles Weems of Sharpsburg, GA passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 1, 2014 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, GA. Mary, affectionately known as “Granny”, to all who knew and loved her, will be missed by so many. Born on January 20, 1939, she was 75 years old. She is survived by her five children; Wayne Weems, Rick Weems, Rena’ Reagin, Kay Bennetti and Angie Uzynski. She is also survived by her sister, Christine, husband, Jerry Skelton, and their two children, Chris Skelton and Susan Martin. Mary was blessed with 7 grandchildren; Whitney, Chase, Jordan, Hunter, Spencer, Ryan and Janet as well as 2 great grandchildren; Kinley and Campbell. For all of the family and friends who knew her, Mary truly lived life to the fullest and it reflected in everything she did. Her “Zest for Life" was in her family, children, and grandchildren. She has gone home to be with her husband, Dave Weems who passed away in January of 1999. She was loved so much. Visitation will be held at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home in Peachtree City on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 from 6:00pm-8:00pm. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 1:00pm. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Newnan, GA.
