Patricia Mary Lawrence

Patricia Lawrence, age 74, of Sharpsburg, Georgia, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026, surrounded by her family after a long battle with PLS and cancer. She was born on August 12, 1951, in Astoria, Queens, New York, to Pat and Fred Bohonan.

Patricia was known for her gentle spirit, devotion to God, graceful beauty, quick wit, and infectious laugh. She loved Mother Nature, the ocean, sunsets, the beach, sunflowers, long walks, and her dogs. Most of all, she dedicated herself entirely to her husband, children, and grandchildren.

She graduated from Farmingdale Senior High School and spent her life as a devoted Christian and mother to all she met. Patricia’s life was rooted in her faith; through it all, her faith never wavered, and she remained a dedicated member of her church community.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 47 years, Frank J. Lawrence. Her five children, Paul Sopko, Jacqueline Kaufman (Lawrence), Sean Kaufman, Patrick Cognitore, Frank Lawrence, Suzie Lawrence (Derickson), Billy Lawrence, and Kelly Lawrence (Kowalski); as well as her eight cherished grandchildren, Harley, Sean Patrick, Aiden, Jamielynn, Landon, Leo, Shayne, Xavier; and her three siblings, Kathy, Fred, and Timothy Bohonan.

The Love you brought to our family was deafing, whether loud or quiet, it continues to echo in our lives every day.
