He is survived by his wife, Janie Ruth Godwin Bonnet; his daughter, Elizabeth Nicolay Scott Bonnet; grandchildren, Brittany Tyler Holifield, Brandon T. Scott Holifield, and David “Dinky” M. Nicolay Jr.; and great-granddaughter, Madalynn Elizabeth Nicole Creel.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 4, 2022 at Line Creek Baptist Church, 1488 Bob Smith Road, Sharpsburg, GA 30277.
