Very late seeing the notice in the Ga Tech magazine. Scott was a great friend at Ga Tech as we were commissioned (I was Army) and graduated together. Our path crossed only a few times after the military took us our own ways.  Prayers for the family.  I wish we had linked up after we retired from our military service. I have lived in PTC for 26 years and somehow our paths didn't cross.  I will always have his memory.

Sending my sincere condolences to your family. As one of his colleagues and friends, I know the passion he had for his work. He helped to change the trajectory of prescribed fire in the southern region. He was such a thoughtful person, and I know he will be missed dearly by so many.

We are sadden to learn of Scott's transition. Our prayers and condolences are sent to  his family and friends. Scott was a colleague and we admired his commitment. May our Lord, who art in heaven, continue to bless and watch over you during this very difficult time.

Scott was a really good man, and a great navigator and leader. He touched many people in a positive light during his service. I knew him during his time in the Reserves at Dobbins ARB and will always hold him in high regard. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I was very saddened to hear the news of the passing of Mr. Davis . It was an honor to care for such a loving and thoughtful man.  He always made it a point to remember all of our names and was always so appreciative of our care, even on his worst days.  He will truly be missed at PCI and our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Kim, so sorry. You and Scottie were it from the start. Praying for peace and healing for you.

Not sure if you know how Scottie and I met. August 1985 Survival training, Fairchild AFB, I get roomed up with him. I walk in the room, he smiled and said "Hi, I'm Scott. Do you want a beer? And before I could answer, he tossed one to me.  Friends from that moment on.

I am sorry and send my condolences.  Scott was a special boss, but also a friend.  I will forever appreciate the kindness and compassion that he shared with me during a time of personal crisis.  He cleared paths for me to be able to be successful at work and also attend to family duties that sometimes kept me out of the office.   
We shared a passion for collaborative problem solving and he was  stalwart advocate for all of his staff.   He was also a friend and shared in our personal joys and sadness.  Thank you for sharing him with EPA and the Air Force.

I had the privilege of working with Scott both in my career at EPA Region 4 as well when I worked with the State of Alabama. Over the years I developed a friendship with Scott and I will miss him greatly. My deepest condolences to Scott's Family and I will continue to pray for God's comfort for you in the coming weeks.

I am very saddened by the loss of Scott. He was a great friend, mentor, and commander. Prayers for Kimberly and his family. My favorite memory was a Christmas dinner from our time at the 357 Airlift Squadron when Scott was commander. He had all the senior navigators and their spouses at the head table with him and Kimberly. What a fun, and funny time that was. Kimberly talked about their first date, and how Scott was such a slow eater.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Kim and Scott's entire family. Scott was both a good friend and colleague to me.  I had the honor and pleasure to serve with him in the U.S. Air Force Reserve and at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.  Scott was selfless in his service to this country and we are all better off because of his leadership, service, and sacrifice.  He was a great American and he will be missed.  Rest easy brother!

I know Scott didn’t want us to be sad, but I can’t help feeling that way anyway. Such a loss. I will cherish the many memories I have of working with Scott over so many years at EPA.  My heart goes out to Kim and all of the family and my wish for them is Peace and Comfort.  Nancy

Scott was one of a kind. I was blessed to work with him at EPA and  earn his friendship. My prayers are with Kim and his family.

Scott was a great person, excellent navigator and officer and a calm and steady leader.  We shared a bond as ACC School alums in an SEC world while serving together in the 357 Airlift Squadron.  We seemed to split our lunch bets on team sports.  

Scott was one of the few officers I knew during my career who was universally admired and respected by his fellow airmen.   He was a great friend to me and always offered wise counsel and guidance.  

God's Peace

I remember so well when Scott became a navigator for the C130. 
He came over to meet our good friend, Scott Frost who also was at the time flying C130's. Phil and a great time reminiscing with them since that is also the plane he had flown in the Air Force.

We didn't see Scott a lot since he and Kim had moved to Atlanta but when we did see him, we thoroughly enjoyed his visits.

Scott was a really stand up guy who made everyone feel as though they were the only other person in the room.

He will be so missed.

I am deeply saddened by our loss of Scott and send prayers for peace and love to Kim and his entire family.  Scott and I both started our careers with the EPA in 1991.  We developed a friendship over the years working together which became even stronger when he became my supervisor almost 20 years ago.  So many fond memories of our times working together highlighted by our Green Racing activities, our Southeast Prescribed Fire and Air Quality Collaboration efforts and our involvement in the Southeast Regional Partnership for Planning and Sustainability (SERPPAS)!  Scott brought passion, intelligence, common sense, and humor, to all of his work activities and best of all deeply cared for his colleagues and treated others with kindness and respect.  I am honored to have had the opportunity to work with Scott and to have become his friend!  I will treasure the great times we spent together and will miss him dearly!  Scott, you made the world a better place!

I worked with Scott over many years at EPA. He was always so great to work with. He always was smiling and the friendliest person. Always greeted energetically even just passing in the hallway. Brilliant guy. Served his Country with excellence. A great loss to us all.

Scott had a passion for EPA's Green Racing Program and was one of our biggest advocates.  He greatly enjoyed interacting with the racing fans and sharing information about cleaner vehicle technologies and fuels which improve air quality and the environment!

Scott's passion for environmental protection included efforts to restore and maintain healthy longleaf pine forest ecosystems, which require frequent prescribed fire.  He helped form the Southeast Prescribed Fire and Air Quality Collaborative Workgroup which focuses on the beneficial use of prescribed fire and smoke management to limit air quality impacts and protect human health.

Always great flying with you. You were a true professional always willing and able to get the job done.

I was truly saddened to hear about Scott's passing. I served with Scott Davis in the 357th Airlift Squadron for many years. Scott was an outstanding Navigator but much more than that he was a better person. He was always hard working, but he did it with a smile on his face. He was pleasant to be around and had a wonderful persona about him. We were on many deployments together during the Gulf War and it was always nice to see him walking up. The smile on his face during times of difficulty was always pleasing to see. We had a tough job to do but we got done what we were sent to do, and all came home safely. The time that I spent in my Air Force career was many years and I came across a lot of people. Scott was one of the small group that I put in a category that I truly admired. He is with our Lord now and we in the 908th and the 94th Airlift Wings will have a great rendezvous one day. Heavenly Father comfort the Family and loved ones of Scott during this time of great loss and let them know he is safe with You now and will be waiting to be reunited with all of you one day.

  I served multiple tours OIF/ORF  with him and what an Honor!  He was a Great Listener and when He Spoke “Everyone Listened “.  He was the 357th Airlift Squadron Commander and made sure our unit was Ready to Roll when the Call Came. 
  Last Text I received and will always cherish it and his memories.

I worked with Scott for those many years at EPA. Scott was a great guy and colleague. Always calm, supportive and patriotic. I never worked directly with Scott, but I participated in many weekly management meetings with him. I am really sad to hear the news of his passing. It reminds all of us that life is unpredictable and short-lived.  I pray that Scott is being held in God's arms in a place of peace, joy, and no pain. I know that he is indeed in the "Wild blue yonder'.  Scott, you did Fly, Fight, and have now Won!
