Ruby Jackson was born on December 25, 1916 in Talbot County, GA. She was the daughter of Mathis McGill and Katie Howard. On Monday, January 11, 2016 she passed away at Sadie G. Mays Nursing Home in Atlanta, GA.
Ruby was a dedicated member of the congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was baptized on January 15, 1983. Ruby always shared in the ministry and spoke to others about the good news. She remained faithful until her death. She was also a devoted mother and grandmother.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, Katie Howard and Mathis McGill; her brother, John Albert McGill; her husband, Dewitt Jackson; and one daughter, Geraldine Hardy.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory: daughter, Mildred Mayfield ; five granddaughters, Pamela Williams, Sarah Mayfield, Diane Hardy, Christine Hardy, and Nadine Hardy; one grandson, Stanley Mayfield; five great-grandchildren, Jamie R. Griffen, Shon L. Wimbish, Tammie M. Wimbish, Trenton D. Anderson, and Treston K. Anderson; and a host of other family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 180 Holly Road NW, Atlanta, GA 30314 on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at 11:00am.
