Shaun Christopher Hopkins, 40, of Peachtree City, GA passed away suddenly on January 4, 2015. He was born in Glen Cove, NY on April 23, 1974 to Rita Johnston Hopkins and Richard Alan Hopkins. He lived on Long Island for the first 8 years of his life and then found a home in Peachtree City, GA. Here is where he developed many life-long friendships. Shaun loved playing guitar, cooking, and camping. He remained an avid Islanders & Falcons fan even through all the losses…as all of Shaun’s friends have remarked. He was a kind and generous soul who never thought twice about helping someone in need. Shaun was someone who could always make you laugh and he was loved by so many. He will truly be missed by all. He is survived by his parents, Rita and Richard Hopkins; his son, Peyton Hopkins; his girlfriend, Nicole Cornelius; and his 2 sisters, Elizabeth Furlong and Katie Jones. He is preceded in death by his son, Patrick Hopkins. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 9, 2015 from 4:00pm-8:00pm at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home in Peachtree City, GA. Father Murphy will officiate a Funeral Mass on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 12:30pm at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Peachtree City, GA.
