Sterling Hugh “Pete” Quinn, Jr., age 87, of Newnan, GA passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2014. A native of East Point, he moved to Newnan in 2003. He retired after 40 years from the Federal Reserve Bank. He served in the Army during WWII. He lived at Emeritus Retirement Home for over 11 years then moved to Benton House Assisted Living for 8 months. Pete is preceded in death by his wife, Martha Louise Quinn; parents, Sterling and Sue Quinn; and sister, Ruth Quinn Bates. He is survived by his caregivers, Bonnie and Billy Bates; and his brother, Don Quinn. Funeral services will be held at Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home in Peachtree City on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at 10:00am. A visitation will be held on Monday night, May 19, 2014 from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Interment will follow the service at Hillcrest Cemetery in East Point, GA. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Affinis Hospice.
